Description

I built AlgoDrill because I kept grinding LeetCode, thinking I knew the pattern, and then completely blanking when I had to implement it from scratch a few weeks later.AlgoDrill turns NeetCode 150 and more into pattern-based drills: you rebuild the solution line by line with active recall, get first principles editorials that explain why each step exists, and everything is tagged by patterns like sliding window, two pointers, and DP so you can hammer the ones you keep forgetting. The goal is simple: turn familiar patterns into code you can write quickly and confidently in a real interview.https://algodrill.ioWould love feedback on whether this drill-style approach feels like a real upgrade over just solving problems once, and what’s most confusing or missing when you first land on the site.

Discussion

20 comments analyzed.

Competitors mentioned: LeetCode, NeetCode

Concerns raised: Checker too strict about variable names and code structure matching, Requires Google account for sign-in, Yet another paid subscription tool, Scarcity messaging ('17 spots left') feels like dishonest sales tactic, Limited language support (missing Go, Ruby, JavaScript)

Feature requests: Support for Go and Ruby languages, Alternative sign-in method besides Google, Two practice modes: drill exact solution vs. adapt to user's own code approach, AST-based code validation instead of strict text matching

Competitors

Other products that read as similar to this one — 15 launches clear the similarity bar, closest 8 shown.

Attention rank: #2 of 16 (itself plus its competitors, highest first — normalized so YC and Product Hunt are compared fairly).

Looks like the first mover among its competitors.
