Description
Kerry Studio is a desktop SQL database manager for PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle and SQLite. Each tab keeps its own connection and environment, so Postgres and Oracle can sit side by side. With SQL Alias, one query can JOIN tables from other saved connections, even on another engine, without a DB Link or extra server privileges. Variables in SQL, fake data, snippets and an undoable change history are built in. A local MCP server connects your desktop AI assistant, read-only by default.

Could you build this?
Partial A multi-tab database viewer is vibe-codeable, but executing cross-database JOINs across heterogeneous engines (e.g. Postgres and Oracle) in a single query requires a federated SQL query engine.
What it would actually take: The app needs an embedded federated SQL engine (such as Apache Calcite or DuckDB with custom foreign data wrappers/extensions) embedded into a desktop client (Electron/Tauri or Go/Rust). The hard part is parsing arbitrary SQL dialects, building a distributed query execution plan, streaming result sets from disparate database drivers into memory, and executing joins locally with pushdown optimization. This requires deep database internals and query optimization knowledge.
