Description

Doorman reads notification metadata on your phone and reports signal rate: the share of an app's notifications you actually open. The free half gives you that number per app, a bill ranking the worst offenders, and a chart of when they arrive. The paid tier holds the noisy ones at the door and delivers them together on an interval you pick. Verification codes, calls, alarms and messages are never held. It all runs on the device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no accessibility service.

Could you build this?

Partial While an Android app can utilize `NotificationListenerService` to track notifications, selectively delaying/holding system notifications or managing cross-platform iOS constraints requires sophisticated background service lifecycle management and OS-level workarounds.

What it would actually take: Built on Android using `NotificationListenerService` and a persistent foreground service with SQLite storage to analyze user interaction patterns. The difficult aspect is reliably intercepting, postponing, and re-injecting notifications while avoiding battery optimization kills (Doze mode) and platform restrictions, completely impossible on iOS without specialized MDM profiles.
