Description

LabSpace Atlas brings lab planning and organization into one browser workspace. Design rooms in synchronized 2D/3D, explore 115 laboratory assets, track stock and expiry dates, assign items to named shelves and drawers, and navigate to exact locations. Validate placements, review collection plans, and save or export your workspace. Optional WebMCP tools let a browser agent assist with planning and searches while you control approvals. The public demo saves each visitor's work in their browser.

Could you build this?

Partial Inventory CRUD tables are easy to vibe code, but real-time synchronized 2D floorplan drawing with interactive 3D spatial positioning, collision detection, and hierarchical shelf mapping requires solid 3D graphics expertise.

What it would actually take: Built with Three.js/React Three Fiber for the 3D canvas and Canvas2D/SVG for synchronized 2D planning, backed by a relational database storing hierarchical spatial coordinates (room -> rack -> shelf -> bin). The complex part involves CAD-like constraint solvers, spatial raycasting, and converting 2D procedural floorplans into realistic 3D interiors with accurate scale and collision checking.
