Description

Upload a customer's file and the width it was ordered at. SafeWidth measures the detail that actually survives at that size and gives one of four answers: print as is, print smaller with the exact safe width, ask the customer for a better file with the message already written, or say it cannot be sure instead of guessing. It only changes a file when it can verify the change against the original. Built for DTF, DTG, sticker and sign shops. Checking needs no account; plans are for volume.

Could you build this?

Partial Accurately analyzing fine vector stroke weights and raster stroke resolution relative to real-world print scale requires specialized computer vision and vector-parsing algorithms.

What it would actually take: The system requires a backend utilizing libraries like pdfium, Cairo, or OpenCV to rasterize vectors at target DPI or parse SVG/PDF paths to calculate minimum stroke widths and line gaps against threshold print limits (e.g., minimum 0.5pt or 0.2mm). It must handle edge-detection distance transforms on high-resolution raster images to verify if fine details blur together when scaled to target physical print dimensions.
