Description

Print Perfect is two tools in one, for Windows and Android. Drop in an STL or 3MF and get a letter grade, a failure risk percentage, and a rotatable 3D heatmap showing where a print is likely to fail - tall and narrow, poor bed adhesion, severe overhangs - each with a specific fix. The second tab is a full print-cost calculator: material, machine time, labor, failure buffer, margin and tax, down to one price with a breakdown you can copy to a customer. Runs fully on-device, nothing uploaded.

Could you build this?

Partial A 3D UI in Three.js/WebGL can be prompted easily, but accurate 3D mesh analysis (calculating center of gravity, bed adhesion contact area, and overhang angles on complex STLs) requires specialized computational geometry algorithms.

What it would actually take: The application requires a cross-platform GUI (Flutter, Electron, or native Qt/Swift) coupled with a geometric processing engine (using libraries like libigl, CGAL, or Open3D in C++/Rust). The core technical challenge is slicing or analyzing non-manifold meshes to detect steep overhangs, overhang volume, and tipping moment of inertia to generate mathematically sound print failure scores.
