Description

Self-hosted SSH manager built around one idea: sessions shouldn't die when you close a tab. Persistent sessions, session recording you can scrub through, plus (in the desktop app) break-glass approvals, guardrails on risky commands, and a tamper-evident audit chain. Core engine is Apache-licensed, rest is AGPL so it can't be forked into a closed paid product. Built solo, feedback welcome.

Could you build this?

Partial Basic SSH client interfaces and web wrappers can be vibe-coded, but persistent PTY multiplexing, real-time asciinema-style session streaming, break-glass approvals, and cryptographically verified tamper-evident audit chains require robust systems and security expertise.

What it would actually take: The architecture involves a Go or Rust daemon managing persistent POSIX pseudo-terminals (PTYs) via detached subprocesses or tmux/screen style socket multiplexers. The tamper-evident ledger requires a continuous cryptographic hash-chain (like a local Merkle tree or append-only ledger using SHA-256) resilient against race conditions and process crashes. Developing this demands deep systems programming, Linux terminal emulation mechanics, and defensive security engineering.
