Could you build this?
Partial The UI and MIDI output are buildable with AI help, but reliable real-time hand tracking, low-latency audio synthesis, and smooth DAW integration on macOS require native performance and computer-vision expertise.
What it would actually take: A real version would likely be a Swift or native macOS app using Apple's Vision or MediaPipe for hand pose tracking, AVAudioEngine or a synth engine for sound, and CoreMIDI or a virtual MIDI port for DAW routing. The hard part is latency and gesture-recognition robustness across lighting and hands, which needs signal-processing and real-time audio experience. The app also needs a signed, notarized macOS build.
