Read the full description

iKima is a stress-awareness and autonomic-regulation app for iPhone and Apple Watch. Your body registers stress before you notice it; iKima turns the early heart-rate and HRV signal into something you can see. It measures pulse with the iPhone camera via photoplethysmography (PPG) or reads heart rate from Apple Watch sensors, then guides extended-exhale breathing that activates the vagus nerve and parasympathetic nervous system.

Could you build this?

Partial The app UI, breathing guidance and HealthKit integration are vibe-codeable. Reliable camera-based PPG and HRV extraction needs signal-processing expertise and validation against reference devices before the stress claims can be trusted.

What it would actually take: Build a native iOS/watchOS app in Swift with HealthKit for Apple Watch HRV and a camera PPG pipeline using AVFoundation. The hard part is robust signal processing (motion and lighting artifacts, peak detection, HRV metrics like RMSSD), which needs a DSP or biomedical signal background. Validating accuracy against chest-strap or clinical ECG data and handling wellness-versus-medical claims adds further expertise.
