Hey all, SubSpace has been my favorite game since I was a kid playing it in 1997, and its always been a dream of mine to rebuild it for the browser so I could play from any OS and enjoy with others instantly. Here it is: https://zubspace.ggIt's open source too: https://github.com/pkieltyka/zubspaceThe project is written in Rust targets WASM+WebGL and uses WebRTC data channels for its networking layer for low latency game play :) just load up your favorite agent on it, and feel free to extend it

Could you build this?

Partial The browser canvas client and game UI are vibe-codeable, but a playable MMO depends on real-time multiplayer netcode, authoritative servers, and latency handling, which AI coding alone won't deliver reliably.

What it would actually take: A real version needs a browser game client (likely canvas or WebGL with a game loop), plus an authoritative multiplayer server using WebSockets or WebRTC with client prediction, interpolation, and lag compensation. The hard parts are netcode tuning and scaling game servers, plus recreating the original game's physics and ship balance, which benefits from game-development experience.
