MockMini is a native Swift proxy core for macOS, meant as a lightweight sing-box alternative that stays small enough to audit end to end (~2,600 lines). It speaks Shadowsocks (AEAD), VMess, Trojan and VLESS over TCP/WS/TLS, ships as a Swift package, and is open source under Apache-2.0. It powers the native VPN in the WLSA Plus macOS client.

Could you build this?
Partial The codebase is a few thousand lines of protocol code that an AI can draft, but correct and secure implementation of AEAD crypto, VMess, and VLESS framing with real-world interoperability needs networking and security expertise that vibe coding can't verify alone.
What it would actually take: Implement the protocol stack in Swift using Network.framework and CryptoKit or a vetted crypto library, following the published specs and reference implementations such as sing-box and Xray. The hard parts are byte-exact protocol compatibility, TLS/WebSocket handling, and avoiding subtle crypto or parsing bugs that could leak traffic or crash the proxy. Serious credibility also requires interop testing against real servers and a security review by someone experienced in network protocols.
