Partial A camera-based unlock UI and a face-recognition model are buildable with open-source tools, but secure integration with macOS login (PAM or authorization plugins) and anti-spoofing are hard.
What it would actually take: A real version needs a face-embedding model with liveness/anti-spoofing checks, secure local template storage (ideally Keychain or Secure Enclave), and integration with macOS authentication via an authorization plugin or PAM-like mechanism. Security review and macOS system-level expertise are required, since a flaw would grant unauthorized access.
