BIB is an iPhone app that sends you a push before race registration and lottery windows open and close. Big races open months out and sell out fast, so BIB watches the dates for you. Dates come from each race's own website; if one is only an estimate, the app says "Est." instead of guessing. Search thousands of running, trail, ultra, triathlon and cycling events, tap the bell, and get alerts. Free to start. Built by a solo developer and runner. Android coming soon.

Partial The iOS app, push notifications, and watchlist UI are easy to vibe-code. The hard piece is a maintained, accurate database of race registration and lottery dates scraped from many inconsistent race websites, including the 'Est.' estimation logic.
What it would actually take: The stack would be a native iOS app (Swift/SwiftUI) with APNs push, plus a backend that schedules scrapers or LLM-based extractors for each race site. The hard part is curating and continuously validating date data across hundreds of races, which requires ongoing maintenance and some manual data work.
