Read the full description

GoPort makes it easy to share your local apps, APIs, and webhook endpoints with anyone through a public HTTPS URL. Start a tunnel with a simple CLI command, inspect incoming HTTP requests, and test your projects without deploying them first. GoPort is open-source and self-hostable, giving developers more control over how they expose their local services. It's built in Go and designed to make localhost sharing simple.

Could you build this?

Partial The CLI and request inspector are easy to vibe-code, but running reliable public HTTPS tunnels at scale requires server infrastructure, TLS certificate management, and networking operations work.

What it would actually take: Build a CLI client that opens a persistent outbound connection to a relay server, which routes public HTTPS requests to the tunnel and manages wildcard certificates. The hard parts are multiplexing, security isolation between tenants, and abuse prevention at scale. A self-hosted version is more tractable, but a hosted service needs DevOps and networking experience.
