LessTube started as a personal project after a YouTube customization extension I used switched to a subscription model. I wanted a free alternative that puts users in control of their YouTube experience. Hide Shorts and distractions, customize the video grid, blur thumbnails, disable hover autoplay, and fine-tune the interface with an element picker. No account, tracking, or external requests - just a cleaner YouTube, your way.

Yes A browser extension that hides Shorts, rearranges the video grid, and blurs thumbnails is DOM manipulation and CSS that an AI assistant can produce readily. It will need upkeep when YouTube changes its markup.
