NoShorts is two free, open-source userscripts for people who want YouTube, just less of it. One removes Shorts completely. The other sets a daily video limit, shows a timer and private viewing history, and stops playback when time is up. Once you've started watching, changing the limit only takes effect tomorrow (no "just 10 more minutes" loophole lol). Made for iPhone Safari via Userscripts and compatible desktop browsers. No account, subscription, or backend.
