WalkThen locks the apps you open on autopilot and unlocks them with steps. Pick an app, walk, and every 500 verified iPhone steps earns 10 minutes of access. When the session ends, the app locks again. No account needed. Credit only comes from verified iPhone steps (Apple Health is display-only), built on Apple's Screen Time API. Emergency unlock is always available in Settings. Free: 1 app, 5/10-min sessions. Pro: multiple apps, categories & websites, custom rules, access hours.

Partial The UI and CoreMotion step counter are straightforward, but blocking apps on iOS requires Apple's tightly restricted FamilyControls and ScreenTime APIs.
What it would actually take: The iOS client would use Swift/SwiftUI with CoreMotion for step counting and Apple's FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to implement app shielding and monitoring. The primary obstacle is Apple's strict entitlement approval process for Screen Time APIs, which requires special publisher approval, and managing background execution to reliably lock/unlock apps based on pedometer deltas.
