FoveaVLA

No FoveaVLA is a research vision-language-action model whose contribution is a learned foveation mechanism trained on robot demonstration data. Reproducing it needs robot hardware, large-scale robot datasets, and GPU training expertise that vibe coding cannot supply.

What it would actually take: A real version would extend an existing VLA backbone (such as a pi0-style policy) with a learned crop-prediction head that outputs a region of interest alongside each action chunk, then crops from the full-resolution camera frame. The hard parts are collecting teleoperated robot demonstrations, training and evaluating the policy on physical hardware, and the ML research needed to make the foveation head learn useful crops. This requires robotics ML researchers, a robot arm with cameras, and substantial GPU compute.
