Description
N8Island turns your Mac’s notch and screen edges into a personal workspace. Arrange widgets on pages you name yourself, reach recent apps and open windows from the dock, and start or follow Xcode builds from the Island. Keep music, Messages, files and everyday controls within reach. Works with or without a notch. Free to try for 7 days, then $9.99 once for up to two Macs. Requires macOS 26+.

Could you build this?
No N8Island requires low-level macOS system programming, private AppKit/CoreGraphics screen overlay APIs, notch-detection heuristics, and process monitoring that cannot be reliably vibe-coded.
What it would actually take: The application must be written in Swift/Objective-C using AppKit, CoreGraphics, and Accessibility APIs to create borderless, floating NSWindows pinned to screen margins or notch geometry. Hard parts include managing window server level hierarchies, event taps for hover detection without stealing focus, and integrating with private APIs or system scripting bridges for Xcode build events and open window states.
