Description

OpenCal gives you one link that shows free time across Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud and Teams. Visitors see when you are free for up to 90 days ahead, but they never see your events. Most companies block outside apps from reading company Teams calendars. OpenCal reads your Teams week from your screen when you press Read from screen and pick the window. The screenshot never leaves your browser. OpenCal stores only encrypted busy times. OpenCal is free.

Could you build this?

Partial While standard OAuth integrations with Google Calendar and iCloud are easy, aggregating availability across locked-down corporate enterprise Teams/Outlook tenants often requires tricky headless sync or local browser extension workarounds.

What it would actually take: A full version requires a web application (Next.js/Node) managing multi-provider calendar OAuth tokens and a unified free-busy aggregation engine. The hard technical hurdle is bypassing restricted corporate Exchange/Teams policies, requiring either local helper extensions or client-side screen-scraping/session token extractors to pull calendar state without IT admin approval. Building this reliably without getting blocked by Microsoft enterprise security policies requires reverse-engineering private endpoints and maintaining brittle sync adapters.
