Description

Kasper is a free voice assistant for macOS. Hold Command Esc and say what you want: it opens apps, changes settings, moves files, writes drafts and makes images. Ask for several things at once and Kasper starts an agent for each, working side by side. Ask how to do something and it walks you through it, pointing at the exact button on screen. It runs on your own ChatGPT Plus or Pro plan or OpenAI API key, so your requests go straight from your Mac to OpenAI.

Could you build this?

Partial The UI and high-level voice-to-agent coordinator are vibe-codeable, but deep macOS automation, multi-agent accessibility-tree navigation, and reliable computer control require native Swift/macOS APIs and advanced UI automation models.

What it would actually take: Requires native Swift/macOS development leveraging AppleScript, Accessibility APIs (AXUIElement), CoreAudio/whisper.cpp for low-latency STT, and an agent loop utilizing multimodal vision/action models with screen capture permissions. Fine-tuning the computer-use agent to reliably click and navigate arbitrary macOS interfaces is technically demanding.
