Description

Text to Speech AI turns any sentence into natural speech using MOSS-TTS-Nano, a 0.1B multilingual model that runs fully on WebAssembly inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded: text and audio never leave your device. No signup, no quota, no watermark. Pick a built-in voice or upload a short reference clip to clone a voice, adjust speed and volume, then download MP3 or WAV. Runs on CPU, no GPU needed. Weights are fetched from Hugging Face and cached locally.

Could you build this?

Partial Packaging, quantizing, and executing a custom 0.1B neural TTS model inside client-side WebAssembly with zero server dependencies requires deep browser runtime and ML compilation tuning.

What it would actually take: Building this requires taking the MOSS-TTS-Nano PyTorch weights, optimizing and quantizing them for browser execution (e.g., via ONNX / Transformers.js / ggml compiled to WebAssembly), and managing client-side streaming audio buffers with Web Audio API. Deep knowledge of model quantization, WebAssembly memory limits, and audio DSP is needed to achieve acceptable latency on consumer hardware.

Competitors
