Description

Orcyx is a local-first desktop app for running several coding agents at once. Multi-pane terminals, a terminal-linked IDE, an embedded browser and a markdown knowledge graph with its own MCP server share one window. Each agent works in its own git worktree. An auditor reviews what comes back, and the merge stays your call. You bring your own provider key. Windows today; macOS and Linux are coming.

Could you build this?

Partial A desktop GUI wrapper is doable, but orchestrating multiple concurrent Git worktrees, isolated MCP servers, terminal emulators, and conflict resolution across automated agents is architecturally demanding.

What it would actually take: Built using Tauri/Rust or Electron with native PTY integrations and libgit2 bindings for worktree lifecycle management. The hard parts are safe programmatic Git merge conflict resolution across concurrent automated branches, robust sandboxing for multiple agent processes, and IPC coordination with embedded Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
