Description

XF1 Mouse brings trackpad-style gestures to any regular mouse on your Mac. Hold the right button, draw a quick stroke and let go. Flick left or right to switch desktops, up for Mission Control, and use simple combos to change tabs, close or reopen them, minimize windows and more. There are 25+ built-in actions, and you can record your own gestures and map them to any shortcut. A normal right-click still works like always. No account, nothing leaves your Mac, and it's free during early access.

Could you build this?

No This requires low-level macOS system programming with C/Swift using CGEvent taps, Accessibility APIs, and Private APIs to intercept global mouse events and synthesize trackpad multi-touch gestures.

What it would actually take: Building this requires a native macOS app written in Swift or Objective-C interacting with CoreGraphics `CGEventTap` at the system level to capture raw mouse input before other apps receive it. The hard part is the stroke gesture recognition engine and translating drawing vectors into system-level multitouch synthetic events (e.g. bridging into SkyLight or Mission Control triggers without triggering macOS security sandboxing violations). This demands deep macOS kernel/window-server event architecture knowledge and specialized native systems programming expertise.
