Description

Muse Gadgets is Meta's open-source hardware toolkit for bringing Muse into the physical world. Connect an ESP32, Raspberry Pi, or Linux device to displays, microphones, speakers, buttons, sensors, and more, then let Muse interact through the hardware you build. Make a pocket AI companion, e-ink briefing display, smart-home controller, TV interface, or something entirely your own. SDKs and firmware are open source under Apache 2.0.

Could you build this?

No This is an open-source hardware kit involving microcontrollers, physical sensors, peripheral integration, and embedded systems engineering.

What it would actually take: Building an embedded AI hardware kit requires firmware development (C/C++ for ESP32, Python/C++ for Raspberry Pi), custom PCB layout and CAD design, hardware component sourcing, and optimizing on-device audio/display streaming pipelines. You need electrical engineering, embedded systems expertise, and physical prototyping facilities to make stable hardware-to-cloud interfaces.
