Description

Manifest API Bot is a GitHub App that keeps your app working when the APIs it calls change. It finds every API your code calls, internal ones included, and checks them against each provider's documentation every day. When a change affects your code, it opens a pull request with the fix and the context: which API changed, what changed, when it takes effect and which files it touches. You review it and merge it like any other PR. It never runs your code.

Could you build this?

No Static code analysis to detect arbitrary external API call signatures, continuously scraping changing third-party documentation, and auto-generating valid fix PRs is an extremely complex AI and compiler engineering problem.

What it would actually take: Building this requires AST-level static analysis or LSP integration across multiple programming languages to extract network calls and endpoints accurately. It needs an automated web monitoring and LLM extraction pipeline to track semantic changes in arbitrary API docs and OpenAPI specs across thousands of providers. Finally, it requires an autonomous coding agent pipeline capable of understanding the context of the codebase, drafting deterministic fixes, and opening valid pull requests without breaking tests.
