Description
Once an AI agent moves past a demo and into production, a new failure mode shows up. It's slow, it's burning through tokens, and every so often it does something you didn't expect, but you can't tell which step actually caused it. We built AI Agent Observability to unify sessions, traces, spans, model calls, tool execution, token cost, and risk events in one place, so debugging an agent looks like debugging any other distributed system instead of detective work.

Could you build this?
Partial Basic logging and visualization of agent steps can be built quickly, but high-throughput distributed tracing, OpenTelemetry integration, and low-latency storage at scale require substantial systems engineering.
What it would actually take: The system requires an OpenTelemetry-compatible collector, high-throughput time-series and document storage (ClickHouse or OpenSearch), and a streaming processor (Kafka/Flink) to assemble traces, spans, and token costs without adding latency to the agent's critical path. Domain expertise in distributed tracing standards and distributed data ingestion is required.
