Description

Haven is a free, private social app for family and close friends. Photos, videos, stories with a song, messages and group calls, shared inside small invite-only circles. Everything is end-to-end encrypted (hybrid post-quantum) and travels peer-to-peer, even over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with no internet. No account, phone number or email. No ads, no tracking, no algorithm. Media rides on a relay you or a friend run, or your own S3 bucket. Open source (AGPL).

Could you build this?

No Building peer-to-peer, offline mesh networking over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi combined with hybrid post-quantum end-to-end encryption and decentralized real-time group calls requires deep, specialized cryptography and network systems engineering.

What it would actually take: Requires developing or integrating a custom hybrid PQC cryptosystem (e.g., Kyber/ML-KEM combined with X25519) within a Double Ratchet protocol, alongside a resilient ad-hoc peer-to-peer mesh routing protocol (BLE / Wi-Fi Direct / MultipeerConnectivity) that dynamically switches between offline gossip and internet relays. The hard part is multi-party group state synchronization, offline media delivery, and WebRTC P2P mesh audio/video without central infrastructure.
