Description

LYVR turns a layover into part of the trip instead of dead time at the gate. Add your flights and it spots the connection automatically, works out how much time you actually have after deplaning, customs, and security, and builds a real plan: restaurants, lounges, and shops matched to your actual terminal, walking times measured from real indoor maps instead of guesses, and an interactive floor-by-floor map of exactly where everything is. Free, with Google sign-in — no app install required.

Could you build this?

Partial While the flight itinerary and UI shell are simple, providing interactive indoor airport navigation, terminal floor-by-floor maps, and gate-to-gate walking times requires access to specialized, expensive indoor geospatial airport mapping data and graph-routing engines.

What it would actually take: A production version requires licensing indoor mapping and routing datasets (such as Apple Indoor Maps Program, Pointr, or LocusLabs) and flight status APIs (FlightAware or Cirium). The frontend would use Mapbox GL or MapLibre rendering GeoJSON indoor floor plans with multi-level graph routing for pathfinding. The challenging parts are maintaining up-to-date terminal POI/concession data and computing reliable walking distance/time calculations across terminals, security checkpoints, and levels.
