Description

D-Secure Autopilot Detection identifies Windows Autopilot and Intune-enrolled devices during ITAD processing, verifying cloud unenrollment before resale to prevent re-enrollment loops. Even after a complete drive wipe, Autopilot enrollment persists at the cloud level, causing resold devices to automatically re-lock to the previous owner's Microsoft tenant. This tool detects enrollment via bootable USB, verifies unenrollment directly through the Azure/Intune API, and generates a tamper-evident.

Could you build this?

Partial The dashboard and reporting interface are straightforward, but querying Microsoft Graph and device hardware hashes (OA3 DPK / 4K hardware hashes) across un-enrolled or unauthenticated enterprise tenants involves tricky low-level hardware probing and proprietary API access.

What it would actually take: A full solution requires an executable or bootable OS image (WinPE/Linux) that extracts hardware hashes from TPM/BIOS, queries Microsoft's Autopilot verification endpoints, and confirms tenant association. The hard part is querying Autopilot status without possessing tenant credentials, typically requiring specialized Microsoft Partner APIs (CSP/OEM) or reverse-engineered hardware hash registration endpoints. Building it requires deep knowledge of Windows provisioning APIs, TPM hardware hashing algorithms, and Microsoft partner program infrastructure.
