Description

An open-source Chromium browser with an assistant that works in the tabs you already have open — reading, clicking, filling fields. It ships a local model (Qwen3 1.7B) that runs on your CPU with no account or API key, and works offline. Or point it at Ollama, Anthropic, OpenAI, or the Claude Code / Codex CLI you already use. Anything that changes something asks you first. It's also an MCP server, so your editor can drive your real signed-in browser. MIT licensed.

Could you build this?

No Forking, modifying, and maintaining a custom Chromium browser that embeds a local C++ inference runtime and custom sandbox-level automation hooks requires deep systems and browser engine engineering.

What it would actually take: Building this requires maintaining a C++ Chromium fork, integrating an optimized native LLM inference engine like llama.cpp directly into the browser architecture, and building IPC bridges to expose the DOM/accessibility tree to the model safely. It also demands substantial infrastructure for building and packaging multi-gigabyte desktop browser distributions for Windows and macOS.
