Description

I've been working on Swarm since March exclusively with OpenAI's models and I always use their latest releases for the core of development. Swarm allows for the creation of Spaces where agents/humans can collaborate and store persisted data/memory in Decision Graphs. Swarm is model agnostic and supports both local runtimes and cloud hosted agents. You can also connected cross Space agents giving Swarm a network and essentially providing an intelligence substrate for agents.

Could you build this?

Partial While basic multi-agent prompt wrappers are simple, building durable execution, fault-tolerant state orchestration, and decision graph persistence requires distributed systems engineering.

What it would actually take: The architecture would require a durable workflow engine (such as Temporal or custom event-sourcing on PostgreSQL/Redis) integrated with a vector/graph database (like Neo4j or pgvector) to manage agent memory states and execution graphs. The hardest challenge is managing reliable asynchronous agent collaboration, deterministic replay, conflict resolution between human and agent actions, and state recovery during failures. This requires specialized backend systems architecture experience.
