Description

MechaCanvas is a browser studio for building real robots. Pick from 41 official URDF models (24 humanoids, 16 arms, a quadruped) or import your own URDF/USD, pose joints in a 3D viewer, wire sensors and servos on a virtual breadboard, and program behaviors with blocks. The same behavior runs in the in-browser simulator and can stream over Web Serial to an ESP32 runtime or ROBOTIS/Feetech smart servos. No install, 8 languages.

Could you build this?

No Building an in-browser robotics simulator supporting URDF/USD parsing, kinematics, virtual breadboard circuit simulation, and block-based programming requires deep expertise in 3D physics engines, WebAssembly, and robotics.

What it would actually take: A production version requires integrating WebAssembly builds of physics and kinematics engines (e.g., PhysX, Bullet, or Pinocchio) with a WebGL/WebGPU renderer (Three.js or Babylon.js). It needs specialized URDF/USD parsers, joint constraint solvers, and an accurate electronics circuit emulator coupled to a visual programming environment like Blockly. This demands senior robotics software engineers and graphics/simulation developers.
