Description

Statusline puts coding-agent quotas where you can actually see them: a calm desktop Companion, an iPhone app, and an Android beta with widgets. It reads quota metadata locally from your signed-in Companion, encrypts snapshots before relay sync, and shows only the agents you enable. It starts with Codex and Antigravity/Gemini, with more agents planned. No API keys, prompts, conversations, or Statusline account required.

Could you build this?

Partial Creating the basic UI, dashboard, and cross-platform companion wrappers is straightforward, but building native widgets across iOS/Android and implementing secure local session token extraction and zero-knowledge end-to-end encrypted relay sync is technically demanding.

What it would actually take: The architecture requires a desktop daemon (in Rust or Go/Tauri) that safely extracts quota/session metadata from local CLI configs or keychain, an E2EE relay sync service using libsodium/WebCrypto, and native mobile shells (Swift for iOS widgets, Kotlin for Android AppWidgets). The difficult aspects are reverse-engineering private/undocumented quota endpoints across multiple AI providers and maintaining native widget sync and secure cryptographic protocols across multiple platforms.
