Panicked over a mystery $4.50 charge labeled CSC SERVICEWORKS ULT on my card. Thought I got hacked, but it was just my apartment basement's laundry machine. Turns out banks truncate names to 16 characters due to 1980s tech, causing constant panic. So I built UnknownCharges (https://unknowncharges.com ): a free tool decoding 2,019 cryptic bank descriptors into plain English with fraud risk scores and dispute rules. 100% in-browser, zero signup or tracking.
