Description
Nomo helps you stop doomscrolling before it starts. Instead of relying only on hard app limits, Nomo creates a moment of friction before you open distracting apps. Gentle Pause shows your intention and gives you a few seconds to reconsider, while Strict Block gives you a stronger boundary when you need it. You can choose the apps you want to protect and track the time you’ve saved from scrolling.

Could you build this?
Partial While the UI and timers are simple, implementing reliable app blocking and friction on iOS requires working with Apple's strictly regulated Screen Time and FamilyControls APIs.
What it would actually take: The app must be developed in Swift using Apple's Screen Time API suite: FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity. Developers must obtain specialized entitlements directly from Apple, configure ShieldConfiguration and ShieldAction extensions to intercept app launches, and handle strict system-level background execution and privacy constraints.
