Description

Most compute infrastructure connects to the grid and hopes there's enough power. Aerion flips that: we go directly to wind turbines already producing energy the grid can't use power normally just switched off (curtailment costs Germany €2.8B/year). Our AI Operator converts that otherwise-wasted energy into compute in real time, zero grid transport, no new permitting. Unlike offset-based 'green compute' claims, this is energy that's wasted either way now doing useful work.

Could you build this?

No It involves deploying physical compute infrastructure and edge datacenters co-located directly with wind turbines, requiring physical hardware, utility partnerships, and electrical engineering.

What it would actually take: A real version requires custom modular datacenter enclosures, power conversion hardware capable of handling fluctuating curtailed wind energy, high-density GPU server clusters, and deep partnerships with wind farm operators and energy grid authorities. Software requires industrial SCADA integrations and real-time load-balancing systems to match intermittent power supply with compute workloads.
