Description

iosy recovers readable Swift source code from decrypted iOS apps (.ipa files). Point the CLI at an IPA you are authorized to inspect, and iosy reconstructs a project you can open in your own editor: Swift files for recovered types, methods and call sites, a project layout with folders and resources, and output you can grep, diff and review like normal source code — instead of working only from symbol tables or assembly views.

Could you build this?

No Reverse-engineering compiled Mach-O ARM64 binaries into structured, readable Swift source code requires deep compilers, assembly, and reverse-engineering systems knowledge that AI cannot generate from scratch.

What it would actually take: Building an IPA-to-Swift decompiler requires deep expertise in Mach-O binary parsing, LLVM/Swift metadata decoding, ARM64 control flow graph (CFG) recovery, intermediate representation (IR) decompilation, and AST generation. The core engine is typically built in C++ or Rust, parsing the __swift5_types, protocol conformances, and mangled symbol tables to reconstruct class hierarchies, method signatures, and high-level control structures.
