Description

AskPreceptor is a study tool for medical and health students. You work through teaching cases and get the reasoning a good clinician would use — not just an answer, but why that answer and why not the others. Every answer names the guidance it leaned on, and a citation the app could not verify against its own corpus is marked with a warning. You are told what to double-check rather than asked to trust everything equally.

Could you build this?

Partial The quiz/case UI and conversational AI feedback are straightforward, but guaranteeing verified clinical citations and accurate medical guidance reasoning requires curated medical datasets and strict RAG verification.

What it would actually take: The product needs a specialized Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline indexing peer-reviewed clinical guidelines (e.g., UpToDate, PubMed, NICE) with strict hallucination-checking guardrails. Curating and validating the medical case database, question banks, and citation verification mechanisms requires verified medical board expertise to avoid clinical inaccuracies.
