Description

Most code tools read one repository at a time. Celmis indexes a set of them into one symbol graph, so a question can cross a boundary: ask which service still calls a function whose signature changed, and the answer comes back with file:line citations from a repository you never cloned. Same index, read many ways: PR review that sees cross-repo callers, dependency audit, CycloneDX SBOM, and an MCP server with 18 tools. Self-hosted, docker compose. Your model key, or Ollama locally. AGPL-3.0.

Could you build this?

No Building cross-repository symbol graphs across 23 programming languages requires deep compiler and static analysis expertise comparable to tools like Sourcegraph SCIP or Kythe.

What it would actually take: The architecture requires multi-language AST parsers (e.g. tree-sitter or LSP engines) compiling cross-repo symbol definition/reference graphs into a graph store alongside Qdrant/Postgres for vector and semantic search. The hardest part is semantic name resolution and cross-repository call-graph tracking without full compilation environments across 23 languages. This requires deep static code analysis and compiler engineering expertise.
