Description
Exziled is a browser extension that removes people you'd rather not read about. Add a name, and their headlines, articles, photos and video thumbnails get covered wherever you browse — one click to look anyway. Nicknames are found automatically. Face matching runs on your own machine. No account, no server, no analytics. Chrome and Firefox, 17 languages, free.

Could you build this?
Partial While blocking DOM text strings is trivial, performing client-side, zero-lag facial recognition across dynamically loaded web images and video thumbnails in a browser extension is non-trivial.
What it would actually take: Requires a Manifest V3 Chrome extension utilizing TensorFlow.js or ONNX Runtime Web via WebAssembly/WebGPU, paired with an embedding model (e.g., MobileFaceNet). The primary bottleneck is performing image cropping, face detection, and embedding matching inside Offscreen Canvas workers at 60 FPS without leaking memory or degrading page scroll performance on media-heavy platforms. Requires deep browser performance optimization and computer vision skills.
