Note-taking and writing apps provide dedicated spaces to capture thoughts, draft long-form text, and organize personal knowledge using formats ranging from simple markdown to visual canvases. They are widely used by writers, researchers, students, and knowledge workers who prioritize fast capture, privacy, or distraction-free drafting. Unlike broader project management or team collaboration platforms, these tools focus primarily on personal composition, lightweight formatting, and individual idea retention.
