Description

While studying Geometric Algebra I have built some interactive visualization to demonstrate how geometric transformations (rotation, scaling, translation) can be constructed by just composing reflections.Accepting reflection as the most elementary geometric operation was an eye opening moment for me. I think some of you might enjoy the interactive visuals.

Could you build this?

Yes It is an educational interactive math visualization showing geometric transformations using standard 2D/3D canvas rendering (like Three.js or SVG).

Discussion

15 comments analyzed.

Competitors mentioned: Alan Paeth's three-shear rotation algorithm, Rotation matrices with trigonometric functions, Complex number rotation (e^ai)

Concerns raised: Construction doesn't generalize correctly to 4D+ dimensions, Reflection framed around vectors instead of planes limits higher-dimensional applicability, Still requires trigonometric functions to construct initial vectors/angle, Vague mathematical explanations in higher dimensions section

Feature requests: Consistent color scheme across all diagrams (2D, 3D, circular reflection), Label vectors with their variable names (s, u, v) in diagram annotations, Rework reflection to use plane-based framing instead of vector-based
