Description

3 weeks ago I had a nasty accident and fractured my vertebrae. As I lay in bed I needed something to take my mind off it all so built "Claudoro".Claudoro is a pomodoro timer built right into the Claude Code status line, as well as can be directly controlled from Claude Code and the CLI. A few years ago I built "pymodoro" which was great, but recently I felt I needed something embedded in the tools I actually use, and I also wanted something that was flexible, and I could tweak and nudge.Anyway I hope it is useful to you, and I'd love some feedback on how to improve it.Thank you...!PS this is a write up all about how it works etc: https://benemson.com/blog/agents/claudoro-pomodoro-timer-cla...

Could you build this?

Yes Claudoro is a lightweight CLI/terminal utility and status line timer script that can be vibe-coded within hours using simple terminal escape sequences and shell scripting.

Discussion

20 comments analyzed.

Competitors mentioned: Codex CLI, GPT-4.5, Hermes, Superset, Cmux notifications

Concerns raised: Claude struggles with sops and helm subcharts modifications, Claude fails at predicting stacked endpoint locations, High failure rates on integration work between monorepos, Timer display in focus area is distracting during work sessions, False positive notifications when subagents stop

Feature requests: Hide seconds display in timer (MM:SS format only), Integrate timer data into Claude's statusbar display, Filter notifications to only main agent stops, questions, or subagent questions, Add bell/chime sound notification when Opus completes long tasks, Analyze user prompts to auto-suggest custom skills improvements
