Phantom Blade Zero Saves
Free PBZ starter saves and a browser save editor
Get picks like this daily. Today's launch numbers, the top launches, AI and tech news, and a daily opportunity pick, straight to your inbox.
Phantom Blade Zero hides its save file in a custom PBZS v3 container and skips %LOCALAPPDATA% entirely, so players struggle to back up or edit progress. This site ships three verified starter saves (all weapons, max materials, 66 Days mode) plus a browser save editor: WebCrypto decrypts PBZSaveGame.sav, WebAssembly unpacks Oodle Kraken slots, and only changed values are rewritten. Nothing uploads, and it works offline. The exact Steam save path and backup-folder recovery guide are included.

Could you build this?
Partial The save-editor UI and WebCrypto decryption in the browser are easy to build. The hard part is reverse-engineering the proprietary PBZS v3 container format and verifying the starter saves against the game.
What it would actually take: Start by analyzing the save container's header, compression, and encryption from the game's files, then reproduce the decrypt and encrypt routines in JavaScript with WebCrypto. A solo builder with reverse-engineering experience (or a capable AI assistant plus patience) can do this, but it is game-specific and fragile to patches. Verifying saves needs a copy of the game to test against.
