ColorPause turns the websites and Mac apps you choose black and white once you reach limits you set. Only that window goes gray; the rest stays in color. Works in Safari and Chrome with no extension. What you browse and use never leaves your Mac.

Could you build this?
Partial The settings UI and usage limits are easy to vibe-code, but making only one window grayscale on macOS without an extension needs low-level macOS graphics work (overlays, blend modes, or screen-capture APIs) that an AI-assisted builder may struggle to get right.
What it would actually take: Build a native Swift/SwiftUI menu bar app that tracks active apps and browser tabs through Accessibility and NSWorkspace APIs. The hard part is applying a per-window desaturation effect, which likely means ScreenCaptureKit or a full-screen overlay compositing layer with careful handling of window z-order and performance. This needs someone comfortable with macOS internals and the window server.
