D2 Launcher turns your Android home screen into a clean sci-fi HUD: one colour, one style, no clutter. Apps sort themselves into 12 categories, and two letters find any app. Hundreds of popular apps are redrawn as one-colour icons and the rest are tinted to match. Add a news page, widgets and notification counts. The launcher is free with no ads. Pro adds three more themes, focus mode and screen time, with 7 days free and no card needed.

Could you build this?
Partial The launcher shell, categories, search, and widgets are buildable with Android's launcher APIs. Redrawing hundreds of popular app icons as one-colour assets is a large curated asset and maintenance job, not a coding task.
What it would actually take: Build a Kotlin Android launcher on the standard home-screen APIs, with a fuzzy-search index and app-category rules. The hard part is an icon library: monochrome versions of popular apps' icons, plus a tinting pipeline for the rest, which needs design work and ongoing updates as apps change their icons.
