Could you build this?

Partial A browser-based LaTeX editor with co-authoring, comments, and GitHub sync is vibe-codeable at the UI level. Compiling pdfLaTeX and XeLaTeX without timeouts requires server-side TeX infrastructure and real-time collaboration needs a CRDT or OT engine.

What it would actually take: Run TeX Live in isolated containers (or WASM builds of TeX engines) behind a job queue that returns PDFs and SyncTeX data. Co-editing needs a CRDT library such as Yjs with a websocket server, and history and GitHub sync are standard Git operations. The hard parts are scaling compile workers without timeouts, sandboxing arbitrary TeX execution, and getting the collaborative editor to behave well with large documents.
