Partial A basic Android launcher is vibe-codeable, but a stable OS build for real devices needs AOSP build, kernel, and device-driver expertise that AI-assisted coding alone won't supply.
What it would actually take: A launcher can be built on Android's launcher APIs with Kotlin. A distributable OS replacement requires forking AOSP, building for specific hardware, handling vendor blobs and kernel patches, and testing across devices. That needs Android platform engineers and a device test lab.
