Description

This is a new and very preliminary Lisp implementation that is based on Common Lisp. The main goals are to minimize external dependencies. Currently only sbcl is supported. The only other dependency is on Quicklisp, which should strictly be necessary only for testing.

Could you build this?

No Implementing a standard-compliant Common Lisp runtime and compiler requires deep compiler engineering, language design knowledge, and low-level runtime implementation.

What it would actually take: Built in Common Lisp, C, or Rust, requiring a reader (parser), macroexpansion engine, abstract syntax tree evaluator, bytecode/native code generator, garbage collection, and condition-handling systems. Conforming to the massive ANSI Common Lisp specification and managing low-level dynamic typing representations is notoriously complex and far beyond vibe coding capabilities.
